The Best Christmas Gift
The best gift that I gave this past holiday was buying dinner for my family. I bought us all dinner because we didn’t have that much money in the bank, and I just got 50 dollars that Christmas. I wanted to buy dinner because my mom and dad bought me all these cool things this past Christmas and I felt the need to do something for them. My mom and dad were very happy and kept saying thank you to me. I felt very good inside because, I just did something very nice for my family. That was the best gift that I gave my family this past holiday.
Poem Project
My Name is Melody Brooks
I can’t talk
I can’t even walk
I can’t even hold my books
No one knows what’s inside my head
My name is Melody Brooks.
I have thousands of words
They’re circling my mind
I don’t know what to do
It feels like a crime.
I hear them
I hear the silent screams in my head
No one else knows
Because they all think I’m braindead.
Please don’t judge me
Don’t think that you know me
Don’t give me that look
I’m proud of who I am
My name is Melody Brooks

My Refection- GS Project
I loved working with my partners. They were great to work with. We didn’t have that much time to practice and everything but we did pretty good. We didn’t do great but we did good. I am completely fine with the responses we got. We were a little nervous but we got over it. The project was really fun to do with my friends.

History was Made
April 2 1931, history was made. A girl pitching for the Lookouts against the New York Yankees. While she warms up, Babe Ruth and Lou Gihrig go over and watch her. The game starts as Babe Ruth comes up to bat. She throws a ball, but after that she throws a fastball right down the middle. Ruth swings and misses. Second pitch, he swings and misses again. Third pitch, a fastball on the outside corner. Ruth watches it go by. “Strike 3!” Babe Ruth stomps off the field angry. Jackie Mitchell, the girl pitcher, strikes out Lou Gihrig and then Tony Lazzeri. It’s a day that Jackie Mitchell and many others will never forget.
